Chef de Partie
We are looking for someone to join our small, friendly team - the Berwick Lodge ‘family’. Berwick Lodge is an independent luxury hotel with 18 acres of gardens on the outskirts of Bristol, 10 minutes from Clifton. Access to a car is required due to the rural location.
The role
A full-time CDP is required in our ‘Hattusa’ Restaurant at our highly reputable hotel. You will gain excellent knowledge of fine dining gastronomy. Duties include but are not limited to:
- To liaise with the Sous and Head chefs and support them as necessary
- To monitor stock movement and be responsible for ordering on your section
- To run a section on their own
- To ensure minimum kitchen wastage
- To ensure knowledge of the product is maintained and communicated to all relevant personnel
- To be responsible for completing your mis en place
- To learn and record skills and recipes from other members of the team
- To report any maintenance issues to the Head Chef immediately
- To comply with all Berwick policies and procedures to ensure that all statutory regulations are observed
- To ensure all statutory regulations are adhered to, such as food hygiene policies
- To observe health and safety requirements including reporting hazards
The responsibilities of this role will normally include all duties described in the Job Description plus any additional or different duties which the employer may require occasionally.
Who is it for
This role is ideal for those who are currently in a CDP role or ideally have 2 years experience as a Commis. You must be able to work well as part of a team as well as on your own, taking initiative. You need to be flexible, willing and be able to multitask.
Hours and Salary
Hours: 40 hours to include weekends.
Salary: £25,000.00 per year + holidays + tips (approx. £200 a month) + 2 nights a year complimentary stays including dinner for 2
