A HIDDEN SECRET JUST WAITING TO BE DISCOVERED

ACCESSIBILITY

accessibility

At Berwick Lodge, we want everyone to enjoy their stay. We’re here to help if you have a physical or sensory impairment or are suffering from a well-being or mental health issue. Whether you require wider accessible entranceways, parking spaces close to the hotel, specific dietary requirements or simply some more thought put into how we communicate with you, our hotel strives to fulfil your needs. Our priority is always to ensure everyone feels welcomed, respected, and valued and that their needs are fully catered for.

Wheelchair Access

Berwick Lodge (except for the upper floor in the Mews) is wheelchair accessible. There is ramp access in and out of the building via the garden entrance and once in the building, there is level access to the restaurant, lounge, wheelchair accessible toilet and lift to the first and second floor bedrooms. Whilst the bedrooms aren’t fully wheelchair accessible, we recommend booking Phrygia on the first floor, easily accessible by lift. It has a spacious bedroom, seating area and bathroom to manoeuvre around. The shower is large and has a shallow step into it.

The receptionist or night porter take guests to their room on check-in, ensure they are familiar with the layout of the building and offer any additional help, if required. Guests are advised on check-in that in the unlikely event of a fire evacuation they should stay in their room and await assistance from the Berwick Team.

For more information or help on planning your visit, please contact our friendly reception team on 0117 958 1590 or email info@berwicklodge.co.uk.

Visitors with Hearing Impairments

Please let our receptionist know if you’d feel more comfortable with background noise turned down or if preferred, feel free to ask for an alternative quieter area to sit, and we will make every effort to find somewhere for you.

Guests are advised on check-in that in the unlikely event of a fire evacuation they should stay in their room and await assistance from the Berwick Team. On check-in, guests are also offered a mobile number for use during their stay, to easily place orders or contact the receptionist. Zeguma and Angora are connecting rooms, should a family room be required for those whose children may need checking on. Subtitles are available on TVs in most rooms.
