A Storied Venue With Character to Spare

Back in the day, General and Mrs. Sampson Way, parents of daughter Rowena, built this grand residence as a dowry for her wedding. In the early to mid-1900s the subsequent owner, George Leonard Matthews, resided at Berwick Lodge with his family. The specific timeframe is unclear, but we know that George's daughter, Violet Chetwood Aiken, and her husband John Chetwood Aiken lived happily in Berwick Lodge from 1958. Berwick Lodge was also a school for children and later belonged to the NHS before being acquired by the current owners, Sarah and Fevzi.

After 5 years of total regeneration by Fevzi, restoring as many original features as possible and adding a Turkish twist to the décor style, Berwick Lodge reopened its doors on 9th September 2009 to its former glory.

Access to two bedrooms is available, reached through an external spiral staircase, adding an exclusive touch to your experience.
