A peaceful place to gather, remember and be together. Set within 18 acres of gardens and woodland just outside Bristol, Berwick Lodge offers a tranquil setting for a celebration of life or wake, surrounded by nature and the character of a beautiful Victorian manor house.
Our welcoming spaces, seasonal food and attentive team provide a comfortable setting for family and friends to come together, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of.
At Berwick Lodge, serving delightful food is at the heart of everything we do. We are here to help bring people together, share good food and spend time together, remembering and celebrating a life.
We have a range of menus to suit different types of wakes, from:
A selection of delicious cold dishes for guests to enjoy together. From £25pp.
A selection of warm, hearty dishes served buffet-style. From £42.00 pp.
An increasingly popular choice for a more relaxed gathering. From £36.95 pp.
Our seasonal menus are lovingly designed by our kitchen team, using the best ingredients and prepared with the same care and attention we give to all our food.
We have a range of beautiful spaces for your family and friends to gather. For larger groups, we can dedicate a private space exclusively to your gathering, while for smaller groups, we will reserve a selection of tables within one of our welcoming spaces.
Our events coordinators, Holly and Magdalena, will help you personalise the space and make it feel right for the occasion. You are welcome to bring photographs, a condolence book or any other personal touches that you’d like to have with you on the day.
Conveniently located in North Bristol, Berwick Lodge is easy to reach from Bristol and the surrounding areas, with the M5 just minutes away.
There is plenty of complimentary on-site parking for your guests, making arriving and leaving simple.
“We held Uncle Brian’s wake at Berwick Lodge, and it was perfect. The house and grounds are lovely and peaceful, and everyone who attended was really impressed. Those who didn’t know about Berwick Lodge certainly do now!
Thanks to all the staff for ensuring that everything ran smoothly and for making a sad occasion more bearable. Hopefully, next time we come, it will be for a happy event.
Thanks again.”
