The beautifully restored manor house hotel offers some of the finest dining in the South West, plus luxurious accommodation with its 10 stunning suites and bedrooms, an elegant conference facility and a lively cookery school run by Berwick's top chefs.
As a privately owned and run hotel the service is as you'd expect, impeccable, yet relaxed and friendly. A visit to Berwick Lodge will, quite simply, dazzle your senses!
When Berwick Lodge was built in the late 1890s as a private manor house its imposing structure, and beautiful rose and woodland gardens attracted admirers from all over the South West. Following the two world wars the property had several owners and gradually slipped into disrepair and neglect.
On Valentine's Day in 2004, Sarah and Fevzi Arikan saw the property for sale and fell in love with it. They bought it, fuelled by a passionate desire and an extraordinary vision, to completely restore it to its former glory and transform it into a very special hotel.
The couple devoted the next five long years to personally restoring and renovating the property before finally opening Berwick Lodge to the public in autumn 2009, having realised their dream to create a unique and luxurious boutique hotel and restaurant.
